Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you tried, your singing never seems to get any better? You are not alone! If you want to improve your singing, you need a step-by-step vocal training plan. A vocal training plan is essential so that you can:
Use a step-by-step process that has actually worked for singers just like you.
Stop wasting your time wondering what to practice because you know exactly what to do next.
Improve your singing in as little as 10-15 minutes a day 3-4 times a week.
7 Things That Your Training Plan Needs To Have In Order To Improve Your Singing
Purpose - WHY do we train in this order? Why does this vocal exercise come first? A lot of vocal methods are not step-by-step and if they are they don’t really tell you the purpose of WHY you are training the way that you are. It is SO important to know the purpose of why you are doing what you are doing so that you can have a deeper understanding of your training.
Knowledge - There are a TON of informational singing videos out there. You may feel overwhelmed about what to work on first and what to start with. Your training plan needs to help you to learn and simplify ONLY what you need where you are at. Too much information is overwhelming and it’s going to be difficult to improve your singing - because you will be distracted by all of the information coming your way instead of putting that information into practice.
Training - Vocal training is the heart and soul of what we need to be doing as singers. Having a step-by-step plan and following a vocal program that has actually worked for other singers just like you is key!
Focus/Mindset - What if your vocal training plan could amplify your practice sessions by 4x every time? This is totally possible with the singers that I work with because we use focus points during our practice sessions. If you are not using focus points, this is most likely why your vocal warm-ups aren’t working. Focus points not only help you to improve your singing much faster, but they give you something specific to focus on so that you can stop all those negative thoughts and stop worrying about how you sound. After just a couple of practice sessions using these focus points, you are going to be able to hear and feel your singing improve.
Observation - Are you one of those people who learn by watching? Observation is a POWERFUL way to learn. Inside the Star Singer Green Room - our training plans for each level include observation - you get to sit in and observe a recorded voice lesson and if you ARE one of those people who learn by watching...this is POWERFUL!
Performance - It can get so easy to become hyper-focused on the technique side of things, but what are you doing to improve your vocal performance? What new creative techniques are you trying to take your performances to the next level?
Evaluation - Do you know how to tell if you are improving your singing? Do you know how to evaluate yourself in an objective way? If you don’t yet, you are not alone. This is an amazing skill that you will develop as you continue to train, listen to, and feel what’s going on inside your body during each training session. If you want to improve your confidence and stop all those negative thoughts about your singing...learning how to evaluate yourself is a MUST!
